On 20th February 2020, the Main Hall of the Resende City Council hosted the seminar “Vespa velutina: Mitigation of impacts”. The initiative, organized by Dolmen CRL within the scope of the Vespa velutina Operational Group, aimed to sensitize the beekeeping community to the need to prevent massive attacks by the invasive species, namely through the capture of founder wasps. Marco Portocarrero, president of the association, explained his experience in combating Vespa velutina.
